Riva Self Cure bioactive glass hybrid contains ionised glass filler, which is a unique blend of ultra-fine, highly reactive glass particles of different sizes. This bioactive, patented hybrid glass enables long-lasting restorations and is unrivalled in terms of handling, strength and aesthetics. The ion glass filler contains fluoride and strontium ions that enhance tooth bioremineralisation. Riva Self Cure is biomimetic and replaces dentin, mimicking some of its natural properties. The ionglass technology in Riva Self Cure mimics the hydrophilic properties and coefficient of thermal expansion of dentin. To make restorations time-efficient, no etching or adhesives are required. The extra-strong hybrid matrix provides good fluoride release, increasing the defence against caries, while at the same time having very low wear, enabling a perfect long-term filling every time. ISO standard 9917-1 stipulates that a material cannot have an acid erosion of more than 0.17 mm. Riva Self Cure will resist acidic oral environments.
