The Biolase EpicX is a tabletop diode laser designed for soft‑tissue procedures, endodontics, and periodontology. It is suitable for a wide range of soft‑tissue applications, including incisions, excisions, vaporization, tissue removal, coagulation, and biopsy sampling.
The device provides up to 10 W output power at a 940 nm wavelength, with selectable continuous or pulsed operation modes.

The Biolase Epic X features fast‑switching, bendable disposable tips that help reduce the risk of cross‑contamination and support a wide range of clinical applications, including surgery, endodontics, and periodontology. Its surgical handpiece is easily detachable from the unit and fully autoclavable, ensuring safe and efficient operation. For additional treatment versatility, an optional deep‑tissue therapy handpiece is available for pain management. The device includes a rechargeable power supply that enables cordless use, along with a wireless footswitch that enhances ergonomics during procedures. The handpiece’s fiber cable can be neatly coiled on its integrated spool, allowing the operator to adjust the working length for optimal handling while preventing the cable from catching on surrounding equipment. The Epic X is operated via an intuitive color touchscreen that provides access to a comprehensive library of preset clinical programs, each of which can be freely customized or reprogrammed as needed. Its adjustable aiming light offers multiple brightness levels for precise guidance, while factory default settings can be restored at any time for quick system reset. An adjustable audio indicator further supports user preference and workflow comfort.
