IPS Empress CAD Cerec/inLab -blocks are highly esthetic, leucite-reinforced glass-ceramic that may be used for the fabrication of full-contour single-tooth restorations, such as veneers, crowns (anterior and posterior) and partial crowns. Flexural strength is 160 MPa. IPS Empress CAD blocks are available in different translucency levels and as polychromatic multi-blocks. In multi-blocs there is true-to-nature transition of shade, translucency, and fluorescence. Multi-blocks are available in the 5 most popular A–D shades, Bleach-shades and 3 sizes. Restorations may subsequently be stained and/or glazed using IPS Empress Universal Shade Stains/Glaze, or individually veneered using the IPS Empress Esthetic Veneer layering ceramic, or just polished.
